Torae and Skyzoo Live At AHH Breeding Ground

November 20, 2008

If you are a true hip hop fan… I mean, if you have any ounce of this hip hop culture in you at all, then I shouldn’t have to tell you about these two artists… hit the archives and see what I’m talking about… seriously. This show looked crazy… its good to see crowd participation as well… Too many times I’ve been to these events and witnessed a whole bunch of dudes standing there looking miserable for fear that they might present themselves as a fan. There’s nothing wrong with networking at an event, but if you can’t act like a fan, what are you doing in hip hop to begin with? Check the video… Skyzoo and Torae… Brooklyn stand up you are the face of NY Hip Hop right now.

Hitchcock, Vic Damone and HBK on DJ Enuff’s Radio Show

November 20, 2008

Some people might think I’m crazy but I always thought Hitchcock was a better emcee and artist than Ransom. Vic Damone is nice, and this is the first time I’ve checked HBK but he spit something serious here as well.

Mikkey Halstead - Liquor Store Video

November 19, 2008

If you really know the true roots of hip hop… I’m saying.. if you REALLY know the true ROOTS of hip hop, then you know that this genre of music is so much more than music.. I mean, its so much more than culture. Hip hop is a voice… its represents the voice for those that didn’t have a voice… it still represents those that do not have a voice. Now peep Mikkey Halstead… watch this video, and you will understand what I’m saying… I know dude took a lot of heat for this video, but understand the power of his words, the power of the video, the power of the music… shoutouts to Mikkey Halstead. You got yourself a true fan homey.
