Raekwon Announces EMI Record Deal

Raekwon chops it up with On-Air Idiot Show. He announces that Only Built For Cuban Linx 2 is finished (finally!). He promises that there will be that raw hip hop music on the album, and that we can expect Ghostface on Only Built For Cuban Linx 2 on a few joints, but not throughout. Raekwon also makes a major announcement in that EMI picked up the album and hit him off with a nice payoff.

Raekwon discusses creativity in hip hop music, and that the radio and record labels are failing hip hop because there’s a lot of artists bringing that real ish that are being overlooked. Raekwon then goes on to discuss the difference between the 36 Chambers era and today, and the influence of payola.
