9th Wonder Interview with DJ Jelly

9th Wonder sits down for a hip hop video interview with DJ Jelly. He drops some knowledge in this one, and let’s the world know that ATLiens is one of his favorite hip hop albums of all time. He then talks about what it was like to work with hip hop and r&b artists Jay-Z, Destiny’s Child, Mary J. Blige, Ludacris, and Erykah Badu.

9th Wonder speaks on the hip hop class that he teaches. Hip Hop culture was the best class I took in college, and I gotta say
that it’d be dope to have 9th Wonder as a hip hop teacher. He speaks on the power of hip hop music and culture, and acknowledges that he’s part of something bigger than he is in hip hop. He reveals that he is now using the MPC2500. He says that hip hop music lost its way when everybody decided they can do this ish.

Termanology and Statik Selektah Interview with iHipHop.com

iHiphop.com presents to you and hip hop video interview with Termanology and Statik Selektah to talk hip hop music before they left for their respective tours in Europe. Statik Selektah discusses what its like to be overseas and the reactions from international hip hop fans. They both give some information on the 1982 album that is coming out this year. Termanology likens him and Statik to Gangstarr. Statik also promises TWENTY, yes TWENTY hip hop albums coming this year with all big name artists. That would be a serious feat and I look forward to it. Some names mentioned include Talib Kweli, Saigon, Souls of Mischief, and Styles P.

The hip hop duo go on to compare hennessey with Brugal, and Statik Selektah claims that as soon as he stepped off at the airport in the Dominican Republic, they were force-feeding him Brugal. You’re my homey Statik but you’re full of ish on that one LOL.

Anyhow, Termanology clearly is enjoying the Brugal throughout the interview. The Law-town hip hop artist speaks on his track, Tight Pants Are For Girls, and calls out these so called hip hop thugs wearing spandex-like jeans. He explains that his song isn’t about those that have stayed wearing tight jeans like they were ever in style, but rather those wearing Karl Kani jeans yesterday and today are rocking their sister’s pants.

They finish the interview with Statik Selektah saying he’s done with hip hop mixtapes and is sticking with albums this year. Termanology promises three albums in 2009, and Lil Fame makes an appearance to let you know that he’s dope and M.O.P. is in the studio working on their next hip hop classic!
