RIP Notorious B.I.G. – Live At The Apollo

The tribute to Notorious B.I.G. continues. This video is from 1996 where Biggie performed at The Apollo. If you’ve never been to The Apollo, I definitely suggest getting there. When you walk in, you’re immediately overcome with an aura of music legends of the past, and Christopher Wallace definitely fits in that category.

Joe Budden Banned From Boston x Saigon Signs To Amalgam Digital

It’s funny how news about both Joe Budden and Saigon keeps surfacing in conjunction with one another. For those that don’t want to listen to the audio, DJ On&On speaks on a show on Friday night that he DJed and Ed O.G. hosted. Apparently, Budden stepped on stage and tried kicking everybody off stage because he didn’t want a sausage fest with random dudes on the stage. Sounds like Budden started talking reckless and the hometown Boston goons didn’t take well to his threats of fighting. Nobody got off stage and some of the goons contemplated knocking Joe Budden out on stage and filming it for worldstar. Ed O.G. speaks about Budden’s disrespect and that if he wasn’t promoting the show, he would have thrown down with the Slaughterhouse member. So basically, Budden didn’t show love to the crowd but rather disrespected everyone in there, and thus, he’s no longer welcome in Boston until he offers up an apology.

Oh yeah, and Amalgam Digital announces later on in the interview that they’re about to sign Saigon. DJ On&On has some fun discusses this signing. Apparently Statik and Saigon‘s All In A Day’s Work will be released on Amalgam. The CEO of Amalgam goes on to call himself the Vince McMahon of this rap ish. Hmmm..

Crooked I Hard Knock TV Freestyle

Crooked I goes off for almost 25 minutes on Hard Knock TV. White Noise on the beat. The four members of Slaughterhouse have taken hip hop music and are carrying it back to its essence on their shoulders. You gotta love it.

The Roots, Talib Kweli, John Forte, Dice Raw and Pharoahe Monch Live At Highline Ballroom

I believe the line up speaks for itself. It’s good to see John Forte making his rounds now that he’s out. Anyone out there anticipating his future projects as much as I am? And when are we gonna get a new Pharoahe Monch project? He’ll forever be one of my favorite emcees.
