Jabari speaks on the making of his record Dopeman, which will be featured on his upcoming album Famous on the Internet. Jabari talks about getting both Nicki Minaj and Pusha T on the same song, and the process involved. Cookin’ Soul produced the beat for Dopeman. Mickey Factz links up with B.o.B. at Tru Skool Tuesday at the Apache Cafe in Atlanta. Mickey Factz goes in acapella with his song Good Money. Good hip hop music at its finest. Look out for the Roc Nation signee and B.o.B. also known as Bobby Ray to release their collaboration effort soon. The track will be entitled Mind Got Blown. I fear Fat Jew after this video. Marco Polo is joined by Fat Jew in this video as he and Torae prepare to premiere their video Party Crashers. To everyone out there beware, if you let Fat Jew in your house, he probably will never leave your couch except with the sole purpose of drinking your milk. Double Barrel Tuesdays: Torae and Marco Polo Interview Masta Ace

Torae and Marco Polo present the next edition of Double Barrel Tuesdays. Masta Ace speaks on how the record Hold Up was made. Masta Ace talks about how it was initially a freestyle, but built into a song for Torae’s album.
Masta Ace then goes on to speak about his upcoming projects, including A&E… Masta Ace and Ed OG collaborating together on an album dropping this summer. Masta Ace drops the feature list, including KRS-One, De La Soul and Large Professor. Masta Ace talks about the release of a DVD on his life, which will be packaged with a CD of new Masta Ace music. Definite good news.

Rakim Interview with Up and Up TV

Substantial of QN5 and Up and Up TV sit down for an interview with Rakim. Rakim speaks about coming up with a musical upbringing and how that’s influenced him as a hip hop artist. Rakim speaks on playing the sax in school, and how he used to try to mimic John Coltraine’s cadence on the sax with his flow.
Rakim also speaks on the Nas comparison, and how Nas used to come to the studio when Rakim was recording Paid in Full and Follow The Leader. He speaks on who he was listening to as a young artist, and how he realized the importance of capturing a crowd’s attention with his rhymes.
All in all, this was a dope interview. The people behind Up and Up TV have their video editing craft on smash, and Substantial hit Rakim with some good questions. On the flipside, Rakim delivered some quality answers and some interesting info. Definitely worth the watch if you love real hip hop music.

In the final part of his interview with WeLiveThis.com, TEK (of Smif-N-Wessun) talks about his upcoming solo project, 24Kt Smoke. He discusses his growth as an artist as he’s progressed through not only his Smif-N-Wessun releases, but also his four solo releases (I mistakenly missed the first and inquired about the last 3 oops!). TEK describes what he feels has made Duck Down Records continue to be successful over the years, and lastly, he lists his all-time favorite Smif-N-Wessun songs.
