Words can’t even describe the type of adrenaline rush I would get when hearing this song in 1996 when it first dropped. Camp Lo had one of the most unique styles in the 90s. They made many albums after this which were all hot, but nothing else they did received the type of airplay that “Luchini” did. It’s up to us DJs to start taking risks and force-feed this type of music to the masses rather than relying on Drake and Lil Wayne to keep everyone happy. Think about it this way, in the late 90s, with all the good hip-hop we had to choose from, we definitely didn’t want to hear anything from Cash Money but it was forced upon us. Just some food for thought.
