Buckshot and KRS-One take you behind the scenes of their video shoot for Robot, off their new album Survival Skills. Buckshot and KRS-One explain what was behind the making of the track and vocal effects and utilization of autotune as an instrument. KRS-One actually bigs up autotune and makes it clear he’s not dissing T-Pain, but all the artists that basically bit his style and the lack of the human voice in the hip hop industry now.
Both Buckshot and KRS-One have serious knowledge when it comes to hip hop music and hip hop culture, and both will forever remain a relevant face in underground hip hop, and hip hop music in general. Understand that. KRS-One stays dropping knowledge even though I know a lotta dudes, especially the newer hip hop “fans” don’t want to hear it. Robot is a dope track, and Survival Skills will be, without a doubt, a very good album.. no, a great album for hip hop music as a whole. Shout out to Mikey Fresh and Miss Info!
As a bonus, check the video below, as Buckshot, KRS-One, and Dru-Ha discuss Rick Ross vs. Asher Roth, frequently dubbed Ross v. Roth. KRS-One gots jokes, and Buckshot and Dru-Ha speak on why Rick Ross being a C.O. doesn’t matter to some.
