Angela Yee sat down with the other half of the most recent beef in hip hop music, Joe Budden. During the interview, Joe Budden discusses what he and Method Man talked about while at Rock The Bells in Jones Beach. Joe Budden also claims that he never dissed Inspectah Deck (maybe not on a track I guess), and that the media is too blame for the whole beef due to miscommunication. Lastly, Joe Budden proposes to Tahiry.

Slaugterhouse headlined a concert at Toad’s Place in CT last night. The group chopped it up with the OnAirIdiots show following the concert, and spoke on a variety of issues. Joe Budden speaks on the whole Tahiry break-up rumor (do real hip hop music fans care? or is it just the internet soldiers?). Crooked I gives props to two icons in hip hop music, Jay-Z and Eminem. He also speaks on 2Pac’s Makaveli album. I’m sure this concert was dope. Toad’s Place is a dope venue, and has had tons of huge acts come through, from hip hop to rock.

Joe Budden addresses the diss record from Inspectah Deck. He speaks on already reconciling with Raekwon, and not understanding why he came out with the diss track when everything was seemingly deaded with the Wu. Joe Budden questions how close Inspectah Deck still is with the Wu Tang Clan, and makes it clear that he did not cause trouble with Inspectah Deck. Joe Budden clearly states that he respects his elders, but that Inspectah Deck has basically fallen off. Sounds like Joe Budden may not respond. Rumor has it that Deck has another joint in the wings against Joe Budden, and other artists are ready to go against Joe Budden. Why? I’m not sure. All I know is that Joe Budden stays having a target on his back.

Three/21 Media Takes you Behind the Scenes at The One Video by Slaughterhouse. The One, which was shot last week, is the first video and single for Slaughterhouse’s upcoming E1 Music debut album. The whole video takes place in the penthouse of the Night Hotel, where Slaughterhouse delivers some serious bars.

Slaughterhouse, M.O.P. and DJ Premier chop it up on JoeBuddenTV, most likely previewing their track. Obviously, this video took place after the Green Lantern D.O.A. freestyle and interview. Showbiz was also in the building. Joe Budden announced that he’ll be leaking the track with M.O.P. this week, so stay tuned. I’m disappointed though that M.O.P. isn’t rhyming on the track, though hopefully we’ll see a track from M.O.P. and the Slaughterhouse quartet of Joe Budden, Joell Ortiz, Crooked I, and Royce Da 5’9″ in the near future… with DJ Premier on the production! We can only hope!

Following the success of Halfway House and The Padded Room, it appears that Joe Budden and Amalgam Digital are ready to release another album, which will be entitled The Great Escape.

Joe Budden has stated that the album is actually the final piece of the concept trilogy, as he finally finds salvation and freedom from a sense of confinement that had defined his life and career. The Great Escape is slated to be one of Joe Budden’s best efforts yet (I feel like we hear this line whenever an artist releases a new album), and will feature several established producers and artists, which is a notable change from his usual formula. Joe Budden and Amalgam Digital have announced that The Great Escape will be released in both CD and digital form on October 13th, 2009, with two additional bonus tracks available when purchased digitally on www.AmalgamDigital.com.

In addition, Amalgam Digital and Joe Budden will release a prelude to The Great Escape by releasing a digital-only album, entitled Escape Route, in July of 2009. Joe Budden has said that Escape Route will give fans a taste of what to expect from him on The Great Escape. Escape Route will be available exclusively at www.AmalgamDigital.com.

Could Escape Route be one of the four EPs that each of the four Slaughterhouse members (Royce Da 5’9″, Joell Ortiz, Crooked I, and Joe Budden) have announced? We already know Royce Da 5’9″ is releasing The Revival on July 7, 2009. It only makes sense that Escape Route will be one of the four. This is going to be an incredible summer/fall for the Slaughterhouse quartet, as we now know of these four EPs, the Slaughterhouse album, Street Hop, and The Great Escape? It is, without a doubt, a good time to be a real hip hop fan. Good hip hop music is back!

Joe Budden speaks on Saigon signing to Amalgam Digital. He claims he texted Saigon congratulating him, but never got a response. He says Amalgam needed Saigon if he’s leaving the label. He then speaks on the Boston show. He said he’s been there many times before but never worked with Ed O.G. Apparently, there was infinite opening acts doing 6-7 songs each (I can relate to this ish lol). Apparently all the fans were screaming Budden’s name. Budden asked them to clear the stage for fear consideration that they could be crazy insane Saigon or Ransom fans. I guess, he went on to do a 2 hour set (I guess hip hop artists still actually perform longer than 30 minutes?). Lastly, Budden claims he never dissed Boston, and at the end of the interview, he receives a text back from Saigon. Peep the video to see what Saigon responded with!
