Slaughterhouse, M.O.P. and DJ Premier on JoeBuddenTV
Slaughterhouse, M.O.P. and DJ Premier chop it up on JoeBuddenTV, most likely previewing their track. Obviously, this video took place after the Green Lantern D.O.A. freestyle and interview. Showbiz was also in the building. Joe Budden announced that he’ll be leaking the track with M.O.P. this week, so stay tuned. I’m disappointed though that M.O.P. isn’t rhyming on the track, though hopefully we’ll see a track from M.O.P. and the Slaughterhouse quartet of Joe Budden, Joell Ortiz, Crooked I, and Royce Da 5’9″ in the near future… with DJ Premier on the production! We can only hope!
M.O.P. Interview with the Round Table Show
M.O.P. sits down with the Round Table Show for a 3 part interview. In part 1, They speak on the resurgence of Brooklyn, how they became M.O.P. and that they’ve always been tight as a duo since they were toddlers. They speak on being on the House Party soundtrack, and being on the same label as Kid-N-Play. Damn, Lil Fame breaks it down as M.O.P. went from Select to Relativity to Loud to Columbia to Rocafella to G-Unit, and now to Koch. That’s some serious label shuffling. Lil Fame and Billy Danze speak on their relationship with DJ Premier and that he will be involved in their upcoming album.
Part 1
In part 2, Lil Fame and Billy Danze speak on their latest material, and the buzz of Blow The Horns. They speak on how they continue to maintain themselves as a duo. Lil Fame speaks on his numerous names, and his role as a producer thus far. You gotta love it how both Billy Danze and Lil Fame speak on how wack the radio is and continues to be. All you radio directors need to listen to these two because that is the utter truth. I can’t bear to listen to Hot 97 or even Power 105 anymore. I’m tired of hearing computerized voices over instrumentals. Like KRS said, when did the human voice become so played out?!
Part 2
But anyhow, back to the interview and part 3, M.O.P. speaks on their relationship with 50 Cent and how they’ve never had a problem, though it seems like M.O.P.’s never had a problem with anybody in the industry. They discuss their next album, The Foundation, and that we should expect that album in June. Lastly, they talk about wanting to work with Scarface and Nas in the future. Scarface, are you out there?? That would be a crazy record.. M.O.P., Scarface and Nas… history in the making!!!! But yeah, wishful thinking.
Part 3
KarmaloopTV and UGHH Interview M.O.P.
Van Stylez of UGHH sits down with M.O.P. in Cambridge, Mass. Lil’ Fame talks about producing for Termanology, and lists a few of the other artists he’s produced for. Meanwhile, Billy Danze discusses some of the other business ventures they’re involved in. Lil’ Fame basically ends the interview by stating that he doesn’t even listen to rap music, but rather reggae. Is it me, or does Van Stylez seem like he’s trying too hard? Sooo, what will drop first, Detox, Rakim’s album, or an M.O.P. album?
