Still very much a fresh face in terms of commercial appeal, Skyzoo hasn’t been in a lot of hip hop videos, but he’s been in his fair share. Duck Down Records had a very solid year thus far with successful releases from Torae, and Buckshot and KRS-One. Not too mention Skyzoo readying to drop his album, The Salvation on Tuesday. In light of The Salvation’s upcoming release, I’m gonna highlight Skyzoo and Duck Down Records the next seven days. Torae is one of the nicest hip hop artists out there right now. I finally got the chance to meet him in person on Tuesday night at the KRS-One and Buckshot album release show. Double Barrel was one of the best albums thus far of 2009, so if you didn’t cop yours yet… definitely do that. It must be an incredible feeling to not only hear but see DJ Premier, one of the greatest of all time, spinning your records live on radio. Not only spinning the records, but bigging up your records on air. DJ Premier speaks on the importance on making an incredible record, and being able to bring a dope live show to the table. This is a great look for Torae and Marco Polo.
